Rhodes State College to Host 3rd Annual Honor Tree Lighting for Fallen Criminal Justice Officers

Rhodes State College’s Criminal Justice Department will host the third annual Memorial Tree Lighting on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at 5:30 p.m. This ceremony will honor Criminal Justice Officers and K-9 who lost their lives in the line of duty during 2017 in the United States.  The college’s Criminal Justice students will light the tree in memory of the fallen correction and police officers, as well as K-9s.

A live spruce located in front of the College’s Technical Education Laboratory will be transformed for the season with warm white and blue lights. The memorial tree is visible from all points of the main campus at 4240 Campus Drive. It incorporates all areas of Criminal Justice by involving current students and employees from numerous Correction and Law Enforcement agencies who will gather to honor those who gave the ultimate sacrifice - their lives - to protect and serve.
