Ohio’s Secretary of State, LaRose to Address Rhodes State College Graduates 2019

LIMA (April 30, 2019) —Secretary of State Frank LaRose will give the commencement address to the Rhodes State College Class of 2019. The College will confer 192 degrees at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 4, at the College’s 49th annual commencement exercise at Lima’s Veterans Memorial Civic & Convention Center.

Frank LaRose took office as Ohio's 51st Secretary of State on January 14, 2019. He served two terms in the State Senate prior to being elected to statewide office. In his role as Ohio’s chief elections officer, he’s working to ensure Ohio’s elections are secure, accessible and accurate.

He’s also the sole authority to receive and approve articles of incorporation for Ohio businesses -- doing his part to help Ohio entrepreneurs succeed.

LaRose was raised in northeast Ohio. After graduating from Copley High School, LaRose enlisted in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne, and ultimately served in the U.S. Special Forces as a Green Beret. During his decade in uniform around the globe, LaRose received numerous commendations and honors, including the Bronze Star. LaRose graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Consumer Affairs and Business. He and his wife, Lauren, live in Hudson with their three daughters.

In addition to Secretary LaRose’s address, the 2019 Outstanding Alumni will be recognized during Rhodes State College’s Commencement on Saturday.
