Rhodes State’s Cheryl Kuck, Receives National Award

Lima, Ohio (September 2018) – The American Association of Medical Assistants awarded Cheryl Kuck, MS, CMA (AAMA), Medical Assisting Program Coordinator with Rhodes State College, their Golden Apple Award during the 62nd Annual National Conference held in Utah earlier this month.

The Golden Apple Award is presented to the educator from a medical assisting program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) who has been nominated by supervisors and peers as a result of the nominee’s outstanding dedication to and accomplishments in the field of medical assisting education. “I was so honored to have received the Golden Apple Award at the conference. I love changing student's lives through education and helping them reach their potential,” said Kuck. “This is a huge honor for Cheryl and Rhodes!” said Dr. Paula Boley, EdD, MSN, RN, Dean of Health Sciences. “Cheryl has done a lot for the Medical Assisting profession in general,” Boley continued, “She is the founding member of the local West Central OH Chapter of Medical Assistants affiliated with the American Association of Medical Assistants. Her teaching career spans nearly 20 years, so she truly has changed lives, built futures, and improved our communities through her efforts. She lives our mission indeed! We are so proud of her!”
