Health Information Technologies

Health information technologists focus on the management of healthcare data. You’ll manage and analyze medical records for the purposes of planning, research, payment, and evaluation of healthcare services. You must possess a broad understanding of the medical, administrative, ethical, legal, accreditation, and regulatory requirements of the healthcare delivery system.

Now is the perfect time to start down the path to becoming a health information technologist. It’s a career choice that leads to job security and personal enrichment. The Northwest Ohio Allied Health Education Consortium enables you to become a health information technologist without traveling far from home. You will complete general education courses at your local college and program courses (offered through Marion Tech, Marion) at your partner college via distance education. All of the program courses for the HIT program are completed online!
